Gingerbread Trifle
The cutest looking trifle you’ll find this festive season!
Serves 10-12
Preparation Time: 20 mins
Baking Time: 2 hours
Ingredients
1 packet Green’s Gingerbread Cookie kit
1 egg
1 ¾ tablespoons (35g) butter, soft
1 tablespoon (20ml) water
1 Green’s Gingerbread Cake Roll, cut into 8 slices
900g double thick chilled custard
2 packets strawberry jelly
300ml thickened cream, whipped
250g strawberries, halved
Method
1. Make Gingerbread men cookies to packet instructions.
2. Arrange slices of Gingerbread cake roll around the sides and the base of a 3 litre glass bowl. Top with custard, jelly, cream and strawberries.
3. Decorate prepared gingerbread men into top of trifle and serve.
Hint
For best results, add gingerbread men cookies to trifle just before serving.
